Prevention of Disaster in Buildings is very important
Prevention of Disaster in Buildings is very important. As human we cannot control natural disasters but efforts can be made to reduce the damage caused due to natural disasters, an individual needs to make effort for their own safety. It requires caution & awareness, for which campaigns are also run time to time by the governments.
Often all of you must have seen and heard that fire due to short-circuit in the building, cracks in the building, building collapses in the rain, building collapses suddenly, etc., why does this happen? Whenever such an accident happens, there is noise, the news is made, an investigation is done but still, people are victims of accidents. Why does this happen again and again?
When there is a provision of building bye-laws to avoid this. It seems that either the building bye-laws are completely ignored at the time of construction or it is not necessary to follow the building bye-laws?
The criteria for building bye-laws are also different at the time of building construction. When a person constructs a building for himself, then all the building bye-laws are completely followed, but when a person constructs a building for others (business), then all the rules are not followed. Because there is pressure on the builder to construct the building at a low cost, the pressure to sell the building at a low cost, the pressure to find people who can buy the building at a low cost and in the end profit margin also matters.
In such a situation, the person gets caught in the temptation given by the builder and buys the building. He forgets to take the structural stability certificate, no objection certificate and completion certificate of the building. Sometimes he relies on the builder’s tempting verbal conversations which are nowhere to be found in any written document. Prevention of Disaster in Buildings is very important.
We did not mention anything new; this is to make you aware that safety of a building is also important. And to prevent any mishap avoid taking any such step and follow your Architect’s instruction.
Is your building (e.g.; residence, office, hotel, hospital or industry, etc.) disaster resistant based on Structural, MEP & Lifestyle Engineering Services?
