जन जागरूकता से ही इस समस्या को रोका जा सकता है। जब हम पैसे बचाने के लिए अपनी जान जोखिम में डालने को तैयार हैं, तो शिकारी का क्या दोष है? इसलिए जागरूक रहें, सतर्क रहें और सही निर्णय लें। किसी भी भवन को खरीदने से पहले भवन का कंप्लीशन सर्टिफिकेट, स्ट्रक्चरल स्टेबिलिटी सर्टिफिकेट और सुपरविजन सर्टिफिकेट जरूर देखना चाहिए जो कि सरकारी अथॉरिटी या आर्किटेक्ट या इंजीनियर से अटेस्टेड होना चाहिए।

Today architects are forced to forget all their standards to take the project, due to which the quality of the designs and drawings are not up to the standards. Even in the earlier 90s, builders were the Patrons (Clients) of architects but they followed the architects and the buildings built by them still stand proudly. Now the same builders have been established as real estate industry and along with them builders and dealers have also established their participation in the market today. Builders of the 90s were actually civil engineers-contractors. So, his coordination with the architects was perfect. He also kept in mind the sentiments of the architects, engineer-contractors and used to execute all the standards in the construction of the building.

There is no organization in the architect profession where architects work on fixed service and fees without making their service and fees a part of the competition. To be honest, this can never happen, because all architects have their own point of view. If all architects can manage the fixed service and fee, no architect would have to give up their standards for work and architects would not be forced to adhere to their Patron (Client).

These people every time make new architects and engineers their victims, in whose name common people are ready to buy that building and live in it.

The people who buy the building do not know that the person is from the unorganized builder or dealer community by whom they are buying the building, where any rules of building construction have not been implemented. This unorganized builder or dealer community is flourishing in our business because of economic prosperity, political patronage, and legal participation. It has become an unorganized industry over which no one has control. The victims of these people are people who have come from outside in search of jobs, and business.

In such buildings, accidents are made news, discussed, condoled, legal proceedings are formalized, and compensation is pretended. No concrete steps are taken to ensure that this kind of problem does not happen again. To the best of their ability, who have converted all their architecture services to online services or are going to convert themselves into online service providers, what are the problems faced by such architects or architect’s offices after modifying the services online and what do patrons expect from them?

We started our online architectural design consultancy services professionally in January 2016. The planning to begin online consultancy services was started way back in 2011 when the founder was providing his consultancy for a firm. To work on his dream he has to resign and start to do research. We did extensive research on this from November 2012 to December 2015. Even after doing extensive research, we had to face many problems. Our founder’s experience of nearly 25 years (till November 2012) was the driving force behind our research on the online profession.

Who first shared the experience of working on a drawing board and then shared the experience of working on AutoCAD on the computer? The transition period from drawing board to computer, and working on AutoCAD also brought a lot of change in the profession. At that time also some architects and architect’s offices were changing themselves in time, and some architects and architects’ offices were falling prey to their brand name. Those who could change themselves according to time were successful; those who could not change themselves according to time were lost. The clients of that time also did not like that change, but gradually the clients were returning to the architect’s or architect’s office, then in a few years everything was back to normal.

His creative inspiration suggested moving the profession online, and then our team started collecting information through Google to further improve the professional practice and convert it online. We wanted to collect information to start online professional practice and improve it. For this, it was necessary to collect positive suggestions. For this, we started contacting the offices of some known architects and architects working abroad, which did not benefit us much but the information extracted from Google search gave us the right direction and we came close to making a decision.

But people are still not mentally ready to take online services. They still want to stick to the old system and are unable to leave it but we believe change always takes time. It is the law of nature to keep pace with the times and this is the time to adapt online services in our profession as well. Those people who still think that online design consultancy services are not possible in our profession or not accepting then those people should remember their time.

An example of this will be remembered by all, when the computer revolution came in India in the 80s, even then many people opposed this revolution, people tried in many ways to stop this revolution, but after a few years, everything became normal. Anyway, most of us have become accustomed to imitation, until a technology or change becomes successful abroad, we do not adopt it, knowing that the origin of that technology or change is an Indian.

No new projects came into our venture during COVID-19. The projects that came are waiting for a covid free environment or just enquiring or coming for small work which cannot be neither counted in the project nor earn anything from them. Our main customers are middle class people who are businessmen, self-employed or employed people.

First of all, let’s talk about businessmen – during Covid 19 there are some people whose source of income has not made any difference. Their projects can start anytime. We depend on them. For the rest, the source of income has either stopped or has become very less. These people do not want to take the risk of putting themselves in trouble by investing in a new project. These people are waiting for a covid free environment. We are glad that everyone is in touch with us and also making inquiries about the projects. It is a positive sign for both of us.

Coming to second category of self-employed people – their condition is also similar to that of the first category, whose source of income has either been closed or greatly reduced during Covid-19. Because of which their financial condition is not good. These people are not able to invest in any new project. These people are trying to run their business smoothly again. Until their financial condition recovers again, it will not be fair to expect their projects. Their number is huge and because of this, the number of their projects is also more.

Talking about the third and last category of employed people – these people are also victims of the ill-effects of Covid-19. Most of these people have lost their jobs or whose salaries have been cut. We do not get any special business from these people, but these people are very important. These people are the main means of contact for our business. Therefore, it is also very important for them to be healthy from an economic point of view.

One thing that came to the fore in this global pandemic is that the projects in our profession are being achieved either through government schemes or by people associated with the government. Ordinary professional architects or consultants neither have projects nor does the government have any plans for such professionals. Everyone is struggling to survive in the market.

The most interesting thing is that no one even wants to talk about this topic. Most of the architects have to resort to lies even when there is no project or work to maintain their image in the profession. Whereas this is the situation of most professionals. In such a situation, when the information about a proposed project is found in the market or by a particular person or to a particular person, then all the architects seem to try to take the project at any cost by the policy of “साम-दाम-दंड-भेद”. Remember that a project like this can never have a healthy ending.

Who is responsible for these situations in our profession and what can be the solution? There should be talk on this. Whereas there is no dearth of scope for profession, in proportion to the population of India, there is an unlimited scope for our profession. There is a lot of work for all the architects and consultants but the profession being unorganized does not make any effort to solve this problem. All architects or architectural firms talk only for their individual image and not for the profession. Why?
